He read law and holds an LLB (Hons) from Northumbria University of the UK. The following year, he obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board Malaysia (LPQB).
He was trained in an established law firm known as Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co. and further started his legal practice in Messrs Mark Law Chambers, a litigation & conveyancing law firm in Kuala Lumpur before setting up TYH & Co.

Highlights:
- Obtained sole custody of child for the respondent mother in the High Court of Ipoh in a custody application filed by the father.
- Obtained the permission of the High Court of Kuala Lumpur for the applicant husband to file for divorce petition (for marriage less than 2 years) based on the facts that the wife is unreasonably affecting the life of husband (emotionally).
- Obtained joint custody of children for the respondent mother in the High Court of Ipoh in a custody application filed by the father.
- Defended for the respondent mother in an application for overnight access on the child filed by the father in the High Court of Kuala Lumpur. The High Court allows limited access (visitation right) to the father with no overnight access allowed.
- Acted for the wife in settling for a substantial amount of maintenance for both wife and children in the High Court of Kuala Lumpur to save time and cost of the wife without resorting to litigation.
- Represented the applicant husband to file for divorce within 2 years from the date of registration of marriage. Application to divorce within 2 years is allowed by the High Court of Kuala Lumpur based on exceptional circumstances and hardship suffered by the husband.
- Defended for the respondent husband in a committal proceedings in the High Court of Kuala Lumpur filed by the wife. Consent judgment entered between both parties.
- Acted for the applicant husband in an application to vary the consent judgement (on maintenance of child) on the basis that the husband is facing financial difficulties in the High Court of Kuala Lumpur. The High Court allows the variation to be reduced to a reasonable amount to ensure that the welfare of child is protected.
- Acted for the applicant wife in an application to vary the consent judgment (on custody) in the High Court of Johor Bahru. The High Court directed that both parties must honor the consent judgment and the child must continue to stay with the wife’s mother as agreed earlier.
- Acted for the respondent husband in a divorce petition in the Ipoh High Court and successfully gained liberal access including overnight access to the children for the respondent husband. Respondent husband also required to pay lower amount of maintenance to children after considering his income.
Will Writing & Estate Planning Law is also one of his focused area of law where he had garnered much valuable experience during his previous employment in one of the most reputable will writing & estate planning company in Malaysia. This includes application for probate and letter of administration in Malaysia.
He is also experienced in advising and drafting business & commercial agreements for small & medium-sized companies and start-ups in Malaysia and advising on matters relating to the Malaysian immigration law.
Throughout his practicing years, he is a firm believer that all disputes (in family) could be resolved amicably with proper mediation between disputing parties to protect the interest of parties and welfare of the children (if any).

Niki Lim Hui Min: Principal Associate
Niki Lim Hui Min graduated from Aberystwyth University with a Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons) and completed the Bar Professional Training Course in BPP Leeds. She was then called to the Bar of England & Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2020.
She commenced her pupillage at Messrs. Y C Pang, Chong & Gordon where her practicing area mainly consists of commercial, corporate and conveyancing. Subsequently, she joined Messrs. Tam Yuen Hung & Co where she then focused her practice on handling family and immigration matters.
In the realm of family law, she has successfully handled divorce cases, including both contested and uncontested divorces, custody application, variation application, will-writing service, estate administration and other family-related legal matters. Her background in commercial, corporate and conveyancing matters uniquely equips her to provide tailored and effective solutions in complex family law disputes, particularly those involving businesses, properties and/or land.
Immigration law is another area where she has honed her skills and knowledge. She assists clients with visas and passes applications, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Furthermore, she provides representations and appeal services for individuals who have been blacklisted by the immigration department, assisting them to navigate around complex legal procedures.

Janice Tham Wei Chyng: Senior Legal Associate
Janice graduated from the Multimedia University, Malacca Campus with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Second Class Upper Division.
Janice subsequently joined the established firm of Messrs. Richard Tee & Chin to undertake her pupillage where she was assigned to litigation department and placed under the tutelage of Mr Richard Tee Sze Ping.
Throughout Janice’s pupillage, she was mainly exposed to civil litigation works particularly in contentious probate proceedings, contractual disputes, defamation, winding up, writ of possession, child citizenship, breach of fiduciary duties and accident claims.
Janice then joined Messrs Tam Yuen Hung & Co as a Legal Associate and is currently practicing family law.

Joanne Ng Kar Mun: Senior Legal Associate
Joanne pursued law and graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Hons) from Multimedia University Melaka (MMU). She commenced her pupillage at Messrs Gazel Chen & Partners and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2021.
Joanne continued to practice as a Legal Associate at Gazel Chen & Partners where she was actively involved in various areas of practice such as conveyancing, civil litigation, estate administration, drafting of wills, distribution of small estates as well as family law.
She then joined Messrs Tam Yuen Hung & Co as a Legal Associate handling family law matters.

Priscela Ann: Legal Associate
Priscela Ann read law and graduated from the Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland. Thereafter, she underwent an internship at Parma’s Chambers. Throughout the internship period, she gained exposure to a wide range of practice areas which includes and not limited to criminal law, family law, immigration matter, wills, probate and estate administration, strata title and management. Additionally, she was given the opportunity to handle panelship files for Air Selangor (formerly known as SYABAS). She then completed the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
She commenced her pupillage at Messrs Sri Ram in 2022. She was under the tutelage of the erudite Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram. Her fields of practice included administrative and constitutional law, civil litigation and criminal law. She assisted in the preparation of cause papers and worked with the lawyers on matters before the appellate courts. She conducted extensive research on complex legal issues. She also had the opportunity to assist her pupil master and the other members of the prosecution team in the infamous 1MDB case, particularly during the cross-examination.
Nevertheless, due to the passing of her pupil master, her journey in Messrs Sri Ram was brought to a halt. She then resumed her pupillage in Messrs Sreenevasan. She was under the guidance and supervision of the firm’s partner, Mrs R. Janini. Her pupillage journey with the firm encompasses a diverse range of legal matters. She honed her skills and attained experience in defamation, family law, intellectual property law, probate and grants of letters of administration and public interest matters by researching and assisting in the drafting of cause papers. Besides legal cases, she was given the opportunity to work in tandem with Dato’ Ambiga Sreenevasan on a number of human rights and public interest initiatives and/or projects. Among these are the difficulties faced by indigenous women in Southeast Asia in obtaining justice and Sisters in Islam.
She then was successfully admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2023.

Olivia Chai Sze Jin: Pupil in Chambers
Olivia read law and graduated from Multimedia University Malacca. With a comprehensive academic background in legal studies, Olivia has demonstrated strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of legal principles.
Her transition to chambering marks the beginning of her practical experience in the field under the guidance of her pupil master, Mr. Wilson Tan Wei Sheng. Olivia is enthusiastic about applying her theoretical knowledge in a real-world context and is eager to contribute effectively to the legal team she is working with.
